At Bully Builder we believe it is important to get every bulldog to their forever family as soon as we can. Trust us, we would keep them all for life if we could but we know every dog wouldn't get the time and attention they deserve if we allowed our on-grounds program to become over crowded. To get them to their forever family, we retire females early and on occasion utilize guardian families. Our goal is to retire females at age 4, have them spay and loving life with their forever family soon after. If possible we start looking for these families well before they retire so we can start socializing them with their forever family to make the transition from our home to yours as easy as it can be when the time comes. We post photos, videos and updates about our amazing adult dogs all the time on our social media. This is a great way for others to get a sense of who each dam is and the unique aspects of their personality. Deposits and rehoming fees do apply for retiring bullies.

What is a guardian home?

Being a guardian family for a dog can be an excellent way to own a breeding quality Olde English Bulldogge for a family pet without all the upfront expense. Health testing and fees related to breeding are the responsibility of Bully Builder Kennels. Routine vet care, grooming, feeding, training and socializing are the responsibility of the guardian family.

Our Guardian Home Program allows for local families to have a breeder's, “Pick of the Litter” puppy. These pups live with you as your family dog while we retain breeding rights for the dog. We most often look for guardian homes for male pups. In this case the time we would need with your forever pup would be limited for breeding.  In the event we use a guardian home for a female, the puppies are whelped at our home and the mama stays with us until pups are weaned. After 6 weeks, mom will then return to you. At the end of the breeding career of the dog, ownership of the dog is then permanently transferred to the guardian home family. Your deposit is refundable upon the completion of the breeding career of your dog.

Our needs are forever changing. We may have dogs available for guardian homes that have not yet made it to our webpage. If interested, please inquire! We prefer that you fill out a puppy application. In the comments section, please state that you are interested in learning more about our guardian home program.

Retiring Adults & Guardian Home Pups

Retiring and Guardian Homes

Fiona Cake is an absolute teddy bear. She is a very sweet girl. She gets along with most other dogs  but would rather spend time with her humans then play with fur friends. She has been known to chase the cat now and then. Fiona does well with kids. She cannot be in a home where other animals are free fed. She cannot be free fed.  She will eat everything in sight. She loves being in the car and has been on many long multi state road trips.  Her worst indoor habit is humping anything fluffy obsessively; this includes couch cushions and pillows. Stuffed dog beds are not a great idea with her. She likes her raised bed and blankets. She is house trained, but is accustom to having access to the yard at will, so we can't say that she will hold it when left alone. She is crate trained.  She will be ready for her forever family in mid 2024.  Message us if you think she might be the Teddy Bear you've been hoping for!

We have no guardian pups posted at this time, but please let us know if you are interested in our guardian program or if there is  a Bully Builder female you think my be a good fit for your home in the future.
